    5" Newtonian beginner scope

    This telescope was put together from parts from two different scopes plus a few custom built parts.  It has a reasonably large aperture to give bright images of many of the deep sky objects. It has a stable, simple mount that features setting circles and manual slow motion controls.  The mount can be used in azimuth mode to give a "right-left, up-down" motion useful for terrestrial observation and preferred by some observers more interested in "point and look" observing than dealing with an equatorial. Yet with a simple adjustment, it can be used in equatorial mode to aid in finding and observing more difficult objects and at higher power.
